AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Bibi Jagir Kaur has strongly condemned the desecration of the holy Gutka Sahib of Gurbani at Manoli village near Mohali.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that holy Gurbani conveys the message of universal communion to humanity. She said that it was unfortunate that some people were trying to spoil the peaceful atmosphere of Punjab by repeatedly disrespecting Gurbani.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that this unfortunate incident has deeply hurt the Sikh hearts. She said that those guilty of disrespecting Holy Gurbani should not be spared.
The government should take immediate action to arrest the culprits and interrogate them rigorously so that those behind the conspiracy can be traced, she added.
She further said that in most of the cases no action was taken even after the arrest of the accused, which was raising the morale of the accused.
