S.A.S NAGAR / DERABASSI:The Punjab Government initiated Mission Fateh campaign is being widely publicized throughout the district under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner Mr. Girish Dayalan. It was as part of these efforts that the 25 publicity vans were flagged off on 14th June from the District Administrative Complex which would spread awareness as well as sensitize people about corona virus and thus be of great help in controlling the pandemic. These views were expressed here today by the SDM Derabassi Mr. Kuldeep Bawa in his office on the occasion of honouring 50 Mission Fateh Warriors for spreading awareness about corona virus. Keeping in view the social distancing norms, only 10 badges were pinned personally.
He further said that Mission Fateh is a part of the sincere efforts being undertaken by the State Government in which every citizen must come forward to contribute because sans the support of the people, the campaign cannot succeed. Everybody should comply fully with the Government directives issued from time to time such as wearing of masks, maintaining of required social distance, washing off hands with the sanitizers as well as the soaps with atleast 20 seconds as often as possible and desist from shaking hands and hugging.
The SDM also added that the mission fateh warriors should exhort maximum number of people to download COVA app which is developed by the Punjab Government so as to ensure that accurate information reaches the people. He also divulged that after downloading the app, selfies with regard to awareness activities be posted and on the basis of which, the maximum amount of publicizing activities would be chosen on the daily, weekly and the monthly basis. The winners would be felicitated with the certificates of the Bronze, Silver and the Gold categories respectively and also with the T-Shirts.
Thus, this campaign would assume the shape of the people's movement.
