CHANDIGARH:Satinder Pal Singh Gill today assumed charge as the Chairman of Punjab Genco Limited in the presence of MP from Khadoor Sahib Jasbir Singh Gill, Chairman Punjab Large Industries Development Board Pawan Diwan, and Chairman Punjab Agri Export Corporation Ravinder Singh Pali.
According to an official spokesperson, the New Chairman also thanked the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh for reposing trust in him and vowed to live up to the responsibility assigned to him.
Notably, Satinder Pal Singh Gill, who hails from Ludhiana, is son of Ex Minister Jagdev Singh Tajpuri. He served as General Secretary of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee and Vice President of Punjab Youth Congress. Gill was also President of Milk Producers Co-operative Society, Tajpur and Vice President of the Rollers Flour Mills Association of Punjab.
Prominent among others who were present at the occasion included Political Secretary to CM Major (Retd) Amardeep Singh Natt, MLAs Rajinder Singh Samana and Rakesh Pandey, Chairman PADB Kamaldeep Singh Saini, Satwinder kaur Bitti, Chairman Improvement Trust Khanna Gurminder Singh, Chairman Planning and Coordination PPCC Hirdyapal Singh, OSD to CM Damanjit Singh Mohie and Zila Parishad member Ravneet Singh Gill.
