CHANDIGARH: Speaking during the special Vidhan Sabha session, cabinet Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa said that it is enshrined in Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji that "With Gurbani there is light across the World' and this message should be disseminated around the globe.
One way to do this, he said, to transmit Gurbani Kirtan from Sri Darbar Sahib through maximum means around every nook and corner of the world.
Today during the Special Vidhan Sabha Session, BAJWA moved a resolution to request SGPC to make such arrangements to ensure that any and every TV or Radio channel wishing to telecast Gurbani should be able to do it. The resolution was passed unanimously by the House.
In addition to this, Bajwa said that Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji had dreamt of world sans any discrimination on the basis of caste, creed or gender.
He lamented that even after 550 years of Baba Nanak explaining the significance of place of women in society in his baani. ..Women are not allowed to perform sewa to do Kirtan or to perform sewa of PRAKASH asthan of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. He also requested SGPC in this regard and urged them to discuss on this issue.
In his third appeal, BAJWA said that except some couplets, whole of Bani of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is written in Gurmukhi script in Punjabi language. So if we want our future generations to keep connected with Sri Guru Granth Sahib it is imperative to further spread the reach of our mother tongue. He suggested that all signages whether at Govt office or anywhere across state sould be written in punjabi Gurmukhi script. After which there would be no restriction to use any other language for the signages.
