October 24, 2024 06:31 PM

MOHALI: The Punjab Senior Vets Association has rallied behind teachers of Government Primary School, Gondara in Faridkot district, who were allegedly accused of not coming out of classes and according warm welcome during unscheduled visit of Jaiton MLA.

The state executive, in a meeting held here today, took cognizance of such arrogance of people's representatives who had become Khaas aadami( special person) from Aam aadami(ordinary person) contrary to the culture of party they belonged to. They said that, It's really unfortunate that the said MLA complained to the Speaker of Punjab Vidhan Sabha, who called the concerned teachers on two occasions to Chandigarh, just to be told that another date will be given, resulting in collosal loss of studies of primary school students. If at all, the MLA thought that his ego had been bruised, explanation could have been sought by the District Education Officer for conduct of teachers for not coming out to receive the honourable Member of Legislative Assembly.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were former Chief Executive Officer Punjab Gau Sewa Commission Dr Nitin Kumar,
former Joint Director Animal Husbandry Dr Gurinder Singh Walia, former Deputy Directors Dr Desh Deepak Goyal, Dr Paramjit Singh Saini, Dr Shashi Saini and Dr Madan Mohan Singla.
