CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Government has decided to provide free travel facility to all eligible heirs of the freedom fighters.
Stating this Freedom Fighters Minister Mr Om Parkash Soni said that the Punjab Government under the leadership of Capt. Amarinder Singh was committed for the welfare of the families of the freedom fighters. He said Punjab Government had taken several significant decisions for the welfare of freedom fighters and in interest of their families.
As per the new decision, Mr. Soni said, the free travel facility has been extended to all eligible heirs of the freedom fighters up to third generation including their widows, unmarried and unemployed girls, boy / girl, grandson / granddaughter / granddaughter, who could avail the benefit of free travel in the normal/AC buses of Punjab Roadways and PRTC. The Minister said the requisite order, in this regard, had already been issued to the concerned departments.
