Punjab has been ruined by AAP, Congress will ensure a safe future: Bajwa
JALANDHAR: Punjab Congress officially launched its by-election campaign for the Jalandhar West constituency with a resounding workers meeting in Jalandhar. The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout, underscoring the people of Jalandhar's readiness to rebuke the defectors from opposition parties, just as they did in the recent Lok Sabha elections.

The meeting was held to garner support for Bibi Surinder Kaur Ji, the Congress candidate for the Jalandhar West constituency. The massive gathering was a clear indication of the electorate's trust and confidence in the Congress party and its candidates.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, President of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, expressed his gratitude for the tremendous support shown during the meeting. He asserted, "With the huge support being shown during the meeting, the Congress flag is set to soar high in the Jalandhar West Constituency seat. This is a battle between the daughter of Punjab and Jalandhar against anti-people parties and politicians who are working against the interests of Punjab."

Warring further emphasized, "The overwhelming support highlights that Jalandhar is prepared to stand by the truth and stand by Punjab. The people are ready to show the door to the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party for their anti-people and anti-Punjab politics. They are set to vote for inclusivity, democracy, and the constitution by supporting the Congress and Bibi Surinder Kaur Ji."

The Punjab Congress leaders also highlighted the current state of affairs under the Aam Aadmi Party's tenure, noting the increasing debt and alleged misuse of funds for personal and party benefits rather than the welfare of Punjab and its people. "Punjab has been ruined under the tenure of the Aam Aadmi Party. The ever-increasing debt is only being used for personal gains and to fund their election campaigns elsewhere. The incompetence of the AAP in Punjab and the BJP at the center has led to a drastic downfall in Punjab, " stated LOP Bajwa.

Congress candidate Bibi Surinder Kaur said – “I am grateful for the huge support that is being shown to me during this election campaign. I have always strived to work for the people throughout my life and will continue to do so. I am certain that the people of Jalandhar and the electorate of the Jalandhar West constituency will stand with Punjab and Punjabiyat and vote for Congress to safeguard the interests of the state.”

Former CM and MP Jalandhar Charanjit Singh Channi concluded the meeting by asserting, "The only hope for Punjab is the Congress. The voices of the people of Punjab are being raised even at the Lok Sabha by our leaders. It is time for the Congress to take control of the situation. The people are standing with the Congress and with truthful, honest, and hardworking candidates like Bibi Surinder Kaur to safeguard Punjab and Jalandhar."
