The SGPC asked for passports from the pilgrims going to Pakistan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji

AMRITSAR: Jatha of Sikh pilgrims will be sent by the Shiromani Committee to Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan in November 2024 to celebrate the birth anniversary of the first Guru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

In this regard, the Shiromani Committee has started the visa process, under which pilgrims will be able to submit their passports by August 10, 2024.

Giving information about this, Pratap Singh Secretary of SGPC said that like every year, the Shiromani Committee will send a jatha to Pakistan on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
He said that those devotees who want to visit Gurdwara Prakash Asthan Sri Nankana Sahib in Pakistan and other Gurdhams on this historic occasion should send their passports to the travel department at the Shiromani Committee office by August 10 with the recommendation of the Constituency Member of the Shiromani Committee.
Pratap Singh informed that it is necessary for pilgrims to attach photocopy of Aadhaar card or voter card as proof of identity along with passport. He appealed to the Sangat to give their passports and documents to the Shiromani Committee on time so that further action can be taken to complete the visa process.
