JALANDHAR: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab dealt a major blow to the Congress Monday when former deputy mayor Parvesh Tangri, former PSSC director and councillor from ward no. 78 Jagdish Ram Samrai and Raj Kumar Raju left the BJP and Congress and joined the AAP.
Jagdish Samrai is a prominent leader, he held many posts in PPCC and has been active in politics for many years now. The departure of deputy mayor and MCs from their respective parties will be a big setback for the BJP and Congress just before the by-election of Jalandhar west assembly constituency.
The Aam Aadmi Party is getting stronger day by day and CM Bhagwant Mann claimed that the AAP will register a huge margin victory in Jalandhar west by-poll. Mann said that all pro-Punjab voices are welcomed in the AAP, we are like a family and our main objective is to give all the people platform who want to work for the progress of Punjab. Mann said that the people have completely rejected the BJP and Congress and their leaders are constantly joining the AAP proves that all leaders see their future as well as Punjab's future with the AAP. Mann added that the AAP candidate for Jalandhar west Mohinder Bhagat is an honest and well regarded leader, the people will elect him with a resounding victory.
On this occasion, minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, minister Aman Arora, MLA Raman Arora, MLA Gurpreet Singh Banawali and MLA Barinder Goyal were also present.
