CHANDIGARH: Punjab Police is likely to arrest LoP Partap Singh Bajwa on the charges of creating terror by making provocative statements after a team of Punjab Police today questioned Bajwa at his residence.
Bajwa had given a statement to a news channel that atleast 50 hand grenades had arrived in Punjab from across the border. 18 of them including one at the residence of BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia were already used by miscreants. The rest of 32 grenades may also be used in future, he told in an interview.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann in a video message aired by TV channels has asked Bajwa to reveal the source of his information. He said that it seems he had direct links with Pakistan. He said that if Bajwa had issued statement to create terror in the mind of people of Punjab, he has committed a serious crime. He said that he had ordered the police to take stern action against Bajwa. Is Bajewa waiting for bombs to blast and take lives of people so that Congress leader play politics?, asked Mann.
Punjab Police officials said that Bajwa had failed to provide any information on unused 32 bombs. Snce it is matter of national security, matter will be dealt with strictly.
