CHANDIGARH: Prominent Sikh farmer leader, Chandigarh State President of All India Jatt Mahasabha and National Delegate of Mahasabha S. Rajinder Singh Badheri along with his fellow farmers today blocked the road leading to the airport in front of Sector 82, Mohali from 12 noon to 3 pm.
The traffic jam was completely peaceful. No ambulance was stopped but long queues of vehicles formed on the road. On this occasion, addressing the farmers, S. Rajinder Singh Badheri said that the farmers' agitation would continue till the Union Government withdraws its new black laws related to agriculture.
Slogans of 'Peasant-Labor Unity' and anti-Central Government slogans were also raised on the occasion. In the dharna staged for Chakka-Jam, alongwith S. Rajinder Singh Badheri, Gurdeep Singh Chilla, Bachan Singh Papari, Gurmeet Singh Bakarpur and other fellow farmers and members of All India Jatt Mahasabha were also present.
