KAPURTHALA: The Budget for 2021-22 by the Punjab Government has brings cheers to the kapurthala district as more than Rs. 63 crore allocated to the various development projects in the district.
While presenting the budget in Punjab assembly, finance minister Manpreet singh badal announced to allocate Rs. 40 crore as first installment to set up Shri Guru Nanak Dev state institute of medical sciences with Rs. 650 crore at kapurthala.
Besides that with the concrete efforts of MLA Rana Gurjit singh, the 164 years old Government NJSA Government college gets Rs. 7 crore which will be utilized to facelift this oldest education institute across the state.
While announcing this amount on the floor of the house , the FM hails the efforts of MLA Rana Gurjit Singh to get the due to this grand institute.
Thanking the Chief Minister Captain Amarinder singh and Finance minister Manpreet singh Badal , MLA Rana Gurjit singh said that with the setting up of new medical college, kapurthala would emerge as a medical hub in the state.
Talking about the NJSA Government college renovation, he said that " with the new infrastructure this historic institution would retain its glory .
Meanwhile, Principal of college Prof. Jatinder kaur Dhir said that the solar penals installation, Rain water harvesting system, new library, inner roads , computer lab to be made with this.
Besides that Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Management is proposed to be set up at
IKGPTU, Kapurthala with an objective of achieving international-level quality in the field of Management Education. Besides thag Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Museum is proposed to be set up at IKGPTU, Kapurthala, wherein the biography and achievements of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar will be displayed.
Besides that an allocation of Rs. 5 crore is proposed during 2021-22 to improve the condition of Sainik School, Kapurthala. World renowed science city also got Rs. 11 crore in the budget.
