AMRITSAR: As per the order of the Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, in remembrance of all the martyrs of Chamkaur Sahib war including Baba Ajit Singh ji and Baba Jujhar Singh ji, the great martyrs of Dasam Patshah ji, Gurmantar for ten minutes at 10 o'clock in the morning. And the Moolamantra was chanted in front of Akal Takht sahib.
Giani Malkit Singh, the head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, led the Sangat to chant Gurmantar and Mulmantar for ten minutes.
On this occasion, head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh also participated and chanted Gurmantar and Mulmantar. J
athedar Sri Akal Takht Sahib termed the sacrifice of the martyrs of Sri Chamkaur Sahib as an exemplary page in the history of the Sikh community.
He said that the nation will always remember these martyrdoms and take guidance from it
The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee organized a Gurmat Samaj today at Gurudwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in memory of the martyrs of the tenth Patshah Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, Baba Ajit Singh Ji, Baba Jujhar Singh Ji and all the martyrs of Sri Chamkaur Sahib. After the feast of Sri Akhand Path Sahib kept in memory of all the martyrs, the band of Hazuri Ragi Bhai Sukhpreet Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib joined the congregation with Gurbani Kirtan. Ardas Bhai Prem Singh and Bhai Harmitar Singh, the narrator of Pawan Hukamnama Sri Manji Sahib, conducted Sarvan. After this, the Gurmat ceremony continued on the main stage of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib, in which various Kavishri, narrators and dhadi groups paid respect by sharing the history of the martyrs with the congregation.
During the event, the manager of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, s. Narendra Singh, Mr. Ajay Singh, Mr. Gurtinderpal Singh, Mr. Bikramjit Singh, Mr. Lal Singh, S. Ravinderjit Singh, Mr. Gurtinderpal Singh, Mr. Ajay Singh, entire staff of Sri Darbar Sahib and Sangat were present.
Meanwhile, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has paid homage and respect to the great Sahibzades of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji and all the martyrs of Sri Chamkaur Sahib.
In a statement issued, Advocate Dhami appealed to take inspiration from the lives of the Sahibzades, their determination towards religion, their commitment to stand up for their rights and truth. He said that Sahibzade is the mentor of Sikh religion who found great achievements at a young age. While this page of Sikh history is inspiring for the entire nation, it is also an application of Sikh consciousness especially for the Sikh youth, in the light of which the future priorities of the nation should be determined as well as resolve for the future.
