“We had informed the Tehsildar a month ago that some people are trying to grab the property, with an appeal that no such property transaction be allowed. The Tehsildar proceeded with the transactions despite being informed. This is a criminal offence. Only the Tehsildar can tell why he acted thus, ” added Mr Das.

He urged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to intervene and order the registration of a case against the case against land mafia self-styled office bearers of the ADTA, and the revenue officer and registry clerk concerned.

Mr Das further revealed that this property was transferred by the Church of England Zenana Missionary Society (CEZMS) to the Amritsar Diocesan Trust Association (ADTA) on March 17, 1955.
