Development works worth Rs 7.32 crore to be undertaken in Phillaur: Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary

PHILLAUR:Former Punjab Youth Congress President and
Phillaur assembly constituency incharge Vikramjit Singh Chaudhary
informed Tuesday that the local Municipal Council would undertake
development projects worth Rs 7.32 crore in the city.

The decision was taken during a meeting of Municipal Councillors held
at the Phillaur Municipal Council office.

Vikramjit Chaudhary said that the works would be completed by December
31 this year.

The works include construction of roads from BDPO Office to Bhagwan
Valmiki Chowk, Guru from Ravi Dass Gate to Ambedkar Chowk and from
Nawanshahar Road to Civil Hospital Road, development of municipal
park, beautification of all chowks, installation of traffic lights at
various sites, CCTV cameras and roads reflectors, and establishment of
fire brigade station.

“The Congress government is committed to the overall development of
the city and these projects would significantly improve the standard
of living of residents. I am personally monitoring all the projects on
regular basis and have instructed the concerned officials to complete
them on time, ” he said.

Vikramjit Chaudhary also inspected the condition of roads after the meeting.

Phillaur Municipal Council President Mohinder Ram Choomber, Vice
President Vaibhav Sharma, EO Randhir Singh, Municipal Councillors
Paramjit Bharti, Raja Sandhu, Shankar Sandhu, Raj Kumar Hans, Ravi
Saroye, Rakesh Kalia, Lakhwinder Johal, Amit Pamma Sonu and Rajesh
Roxy were among those present on the occasion.
