Budha Dal and SGPC organized martyrdom victory march from Akal Takht On the occasion of martyrdom centenary of Akali Baba Phula Singh

AMRITSAR: On the occasion of the 200th martyrdom centenary of the great general of the Sikh community, the sixth head of the Shiromani Panth Akali Buddha and the Singh Sahib Akali Baba Fula Singh, the Jathedar of the Akal Takht Sahib, the umbrella of the Guru Granth Sahib ji was overshadowed by the Guru Sahibs from the Akal Takht Sahib today. The party was decorated with the historical mark Nigaria's tabiya martyrdom victory march.

On the occasion of the commencement of Nagar Kirtan, the effigy of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was brought from Sri Akal Takht Sahib to the Palki Sahib by Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh Mukh Granthi Sahib while chanting God with the devotees.
At this time Jathedar Giani Harpreet Singh of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, Chief Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh of Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal 96 crores, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, President of Shiromani Committee, Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib, Dal Baba Bidhi Chand Mukhi Baba Avtar Singh Sursingh, Baba Gajjan Singh Tarna Dal and a large number of prominent personalities served Guru Maharaj's tabya in a palanquin at Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh Head Granthi Darbar Sahib. In addition to elephants, horses and camels, special arrangements were made by Nihang Singh organizations. More than two dozen goats were involved. Teams from various Gatka Akharya along with Gatka Jangju Kala Johar and band parties graced the Nagar Kirtan with Shabdi dhuns.
This Nagar Kirtan started around 10 am. The ancient gates of the city include Ghanta Ghar, Jalliya Wala Bagh, Ghiu Mandi, Mahan Singh Gate, Ram Bagh, Hall Gate, Hathi Gate, Lahori Gate, Khajana Gate, Hakim Gate, Bhakta Wala Gate, Baba Jassa Singh Ramgarhia (Gate Chatiwind), Gurdwara Baba From Deep Singh Shaheed Ganj via Ghiu Mandi Chowk the cantonment was completed at Budha Dal Nihang Singhan.

Earlier today, the indulgences of Sri Akhand Path Sahib were held at Gurudwara Shaheed Nihang Baba Gurbaksh Singh Ji. Prayers were offered by Bhai Prem Singh and the Sangat was given the Holy Hukmanama by Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib Chief Granthi Singh Sahib Giani Jagtar Singh. Talking on this occasion, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Harpreet Singh said that Jathedar Akali Baba Phula Singh made an important contribution to the stability and security of the Sikh state, which has indelible footprints in Sikh history. He appealed to the people to attend the centenary events organized jointly by Shiromani Akali Budha Dal, Shiromani Committee and other organizations. On this occasion, the present head of Budha Dal, Singh Sahib Jathedar Baba Balbir Singh 96 Crore and Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami also declared Jathedar Akali Baba Phula Singh as a hero of Sikh history.

Commencement of Sri Akhand Path Sahib regarding centenary, main event on March 14
As part of the celebrations of the second martyrdom centenary of Jathedar Akali Baba Phula Singh, Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal and Shiromani Committee initiated Sri Akhand Path Sahib at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. Sri Manji Sahib will be decorated at Diwan Hall. Prominent personalities of the Sikh panth and popular ragi, dhadi jatha and narrators of the panth will also attend the event. Apart from this, tomorrow, March 13, at Gurdwara Burj Akali Phula Singh Cantonment, Nihang Singhan, Gurmat events will continue throughout the day and in the evening there will be a light and sound program based on the life of Akali Baba Phula Singh Ji. It is to be noted that the Budha Dal dedicated to the centenary will give darshan of the ancient historical weapons gifted by the Gurus to the devotees. The Shiromani Committee has also arranged a special picture exhibition outside the Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall.
On the second martyrdom centenary of Jathedar Akali Baba Phula Singh, the Nihang Singhs cantonment Budha Dal Gu: Mall Akhara Sahib Patshahhi Sixth, Gu: Burj Akali Baba Phula Singh Atmars Kirtan Durbar was held last night in which Baba Harjit Singh Mehta Chowk, Bhai Manjit Singh Pathankot, Bhai Devinder Singh Sodhi Ludhiane Wale, Bhai Gurcharan Singh Rasia, Bhai Gurdev Singh Koharka Hazuri Ragi, Bhai Balwinder Singh, Bhai Gurjinder Singh Hazuri Ragi Sri Darbar Sahib's team enthralled the congregation with the wonderful melodies of Gurbani words.
