Bharatiya Janata Party Scheduled Caste Morcha Launches Basti Sampark Abhiyan in Fategarh Sahib, Punjab

FATEHGARH SAHIB: In a momentous endeavor towards grassroots engagement and community empowerment, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Scheduled Caste Morcha unveiled the Basti Sampark Abhiyan program today from the village of Peer Jain in Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab.

This initiative, spearheaded by former MP and In Charge SC Morcha Punjab Virender Kashyap and joined by eminent leaders such as Sucha Ram Ladher, President BJP SC Morcha Punjab, Paramjit Singh Kainth, Vice President BJP SC Morcha Punjab, Dr. Deepak Jyoti, Kuldeep Sahota, Kuldeep Singh Siddhupur, and Darshan Singh Shivjot, signifies a concerted effort to foster awareness and inclusivity among Scheduled Caste families in the region.

The Basti Sampark Abhiyan, intricately woven into the fabric of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra' seeks to establish direct communication channels with Scheduled Caste families in 5, 000 locations across villages and cities in Punjab. The primary objective is to bridge the information gap and ensure that community members are well-informed about the transformative welfare schemes introduced by the central government, led by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.

Commencing from the sacred grounds of Peer Jain in Fategarh Sahib holds symbolic importance, intertwining the historical richness of the region with the contemporary aspirations of the local community. This campaign transcends conventional political initiatives, placing emphasis on cultural sensitivity and a commitment to respecting the historical context of the area.

Former MP Virender Kashyap highlighted the program's focus on empowerment, stressing that the Basti Sampark Abhiyan aims to create lasting impacts by aligning the aspirations of the people with the developmental goals outlined by the central government.

S.R. Ladhar said , "Additionally, as part of the outreach, information on schemes like Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Jan Dhan Yojana, and Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana have been successfully implemented in Punjab over the past 9 years under the 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.' This ensures that Scheduled Caste families gain a comprehensive understanding of the diverse initiatives aimed at their upliftment.

Paramjit Singh Kainth said that "under the Basti Sampark Abhiyan Peer Jain, Kotla Fazal, Main Majri today, the central government has appealed all of the State’s localities to take advantage of the welfare schemes developed by Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra. This program has scheduled the Basti contact campaign in every village and city of Punjab. "

The active participation of key leaders during the campaign inauguration reflects a united front in promoting welfare schemes and ensuring their effective implementation at the grassroots level.
