CHANDIGARH:The Punjab Government has commenced the process of allotment of prime industrial plots in the newly developed industrial estate in the city of Nabha.
Disclosing this Mr. Sunder Sham Arora, Industries and Commerce Minister said that Christened Industrial Focal Point (IFP), Nabha (New) is a result of unwavering commitment of the Government to provide state of the art infrastructure to industry at affordable price. IFP Nabha (New) shall primarily provide an impetus to light engineering sector in the region.
He said that IFP, Nabha (New) is strategically located on the Nabha-Bhawanigarh road, providing convenient connectivity to all parts of the State and is spread over an area of 83.81 acres. He said that plots of different sizes have been planned after conducting a comprehensive market survey to assess the demand of regional industry. Accordingly, new industrial estate provides a judicious mix of plot sizes to accommodate small, medium, large and mega industries. Industrial plots ranging from 5 acres and above, 1-4 acres, 2500 square yards, 1000 square yards and 500 square yards shall be made available to entrepreneurs.
Ms. Vini Mahajan, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, Department of Industries and Commerce, Govt. of Punjab, also informed that in order to develop a self-sustained eco-system, 2 commercial pockets measuring 2.50 acres and 1.50 acres have been earmarked within the Focal Points. Separate land chunks have been earmarked for critical infrastructure facilities such as Electrical Sub-Station, Water Works, Disposal Work, Public Buildings etc. Adequate provision has also been made for providing green belts and open area.
Ms.Mahajan further said that infrastructure development works related to laying of Roads, Street Light, Storm and Sewage Drainage etc., has already been completed. Also, Industrial Focal Point, Nabha (New) has received all requisite regulatory clearances, including registration with the State Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA). The reserve price for allotment of industrial plots has been fixed @ Rs. 3, 800 per square yard.
She added that allotment of industrial and commercial plots in Industrial Focal Point, Nabha (New) shall be done through the mode of e-auction. This shall ensure complete transparency in allocation of key government resources and shall ensure speedy allotment of land to industrialists. Ms. Mahajan also stated that industrialists from across the country and abroad have evinced keen interest in Focal Point, Nabha (New).
