AMRITSAR: Giani Raghbir Singh Jathedar Akal Takht highest seat of Sikh religion has again directed to Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to speed up the process of of releasing the captive Singhs and the report of the action taken so far by Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee within two days.
In a statement here today he said that an early decision should be taken on the appeal for the release of all the captive Singhs and the commutation of the death sentence of Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana to life imprisonment.
It may be mentioned that the Jathedar had ordered the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee to make serious efforts and asked to send the report of these efforts to Sri Akal Takht Sahib within 15 days.
