CHANDIGARH: Punjabi music producer Pinky Dhaliwal who was arrested after Punjab singer Sunanda Sharma accused him of cheating and intimidation is again under scanner after another famous Punjabi singer Kaka today levelled serious allegations against Pinky Dhaliwal and Sky Digital India Private Limited Company owned by Hardeep Dhaliwal (Pinki Dhaliwal) and Gurkaran Dhaliwal.
Kaka has also alleged threats of eliminating him and involving him in some fake case. The singer said that there was serious threat to his life as the Dhaliwal had conveyed him to not to go in media otherwise he would face the consequences. Kaka was also told that he would be able to do anything because whole system is in their pocket. Kaka has now filed a complaint in Matour (Mohali) police station and met the Mohali SSP to seek justice.
Besides Kaka some other Punjabi singers have also levelled similar allegations of cheating with them and not paying them the money earned from their songs. It is alleged that a strong music mafia is operating in Punjab and respective governments had turned a blind eye thus allowing exploitation of artists.
Kaka at a press conference here today alleged that he had signed an agreement to run his digital channels with Sky Digital company for three years and agreement ended in June 2024. But company was not releasing his channel and not paying the earning from digital platforms like You tube, Spotify and other platforms. He said that the Sky Digital Company had played mischief with them and fabricated the data to grab his payments.
The Digital company of Punky Dhaliwal had created fake channels of Kaka and making money from them but visitors are declining on hs official channel the singer alleged and added that his career was at stake. He said that his losses runs into crores as company was earning around Rs.1 crore every month but he was not paid even a single penny in last six months. The previous payments were also withheld under threat.
Kaka said that he gathered courage to come forward after Sunanda Sharma exposed Pinky Dhaliwal and police took action against the latter. He said that many other artists were preparing to come forward to tell their tales of cheating by Pinky Dhaliwal. He said that he had met the SSP Mohali and SHO Mataur and he was given assurance of action on his complaint. He said that he had full faith that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann who also an artist would help the Punjabi artists.
Sunanda Sharma had earlier met the CM and state women commission chairperson to explain her case. She alleged that Pinky Dhaliwal was not paying her dues and she was not even able to pay rent of her flat. She sid that she had also though of committing suicide. Pinky Dhaliwal arrested but Punjab and Haryana High Court had ordered to release him citing technical discripancies in his arrest.
