CHANDIGARH:Additional Chief Secretary (Development) Viswajit Khanna inaugurated the single window system at the Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Department’s Headquarters at Kheti Bhawan on Monday to provide agriculture related services in a time-bound and efficacious manner.
Lauding the efforts of Agriculture department officers for this unique initiative, ACS said this would bring far more efficacy in the functioning of the department, while there would also be further a step toward state government’s mission to provide citizens services within stipulated time frame.
On this occasion, Director Agriculture Dr. Sutantar Kumar Airi informed that the work and other activities of the state operating from headquarter could be carried out in a better way through single window system. He said that the move would also improve the functioning of the employees/field staff and increase the transparency in the services provided by the department such as issuing licenses for pesticides, fertilizers and seeds and other related work.
Chief Conservator Dharmindra Sharma, Director Horticulture Shalinder Kaur, Joint Director Agriculture Jagtar Singh Brar, Dr. Sukhdev Singh Sidhu, Dr. Parminder Singh, Dr. Gurwinder Singh, Cane Commissioner Jaswant Singh and other staff members also present on the occasion.
