Two Brampton homeopaths of Punjab origin accused of sexually assaulting patients arrested by Canada Police

BRAMPRON: The Peel Region Police in Ontario has arrested two doctors who worked together at a homeopathic clinic in Brampton. They are accused of sexually assaulting female patients several years ago.

Two Homeopath doctors who originally belonged to Punjab in India have been identified as Dr.Gursharan Singh Sidhu, aged 59 and owner of the clinic Dr.Inderpal Athwal, aged 56. Both are residents of city of Brampton.

Peel Regional Police say the co-accused in the historical sexual assault investigation worked together at an alternative medicine clinic near Kennedy Rd. and Orenda Ct. – south of Queen St. E. – between 2020 and 2021.

“It is alleged that during this time, they sexually assaulted two female patients on multiple occasions, ” police said in a statement.

The first accused – Gursharan Singh Sidhu has been charged with gang sexual assault, sexual assault and attempting to commit an indictable offence.

Inderpal Athwal was charged with gang sexual assault and attempted gang sexual assault. He was arrested on October 22 last.
