Devotees from Australia presented a bus containing the sacred images of Sri Guru Granth Sahib to the SGPC

AMRITSAR: Resident of Australia Jitinder Singh Uppal and his family presented a bus with a palanquin to the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee for the holy relics of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, the keys of which were handed over to the former general secretary of the Shiromani Committee Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta and Shiromani Committee officials.

Keeping in mind the respect and stoops of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, this bus has been specially prepared, in which 300 holy saroops can be worshipped.

On this occasion, former General Secretary of Shiromani Committee Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta said that Shiromani Committee is responsible for conveying the holy Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji to different shrines with due respect and manners.

He said that on the request of the Australian Sangats, the holy Bir of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji was sent to Australia in the past. Jatinder Singh Uppal and his family have prepared a special bus with holy figures and given it to the Shiromani Committee.

He said that Jitinder Singh Uppal and his family have always been active for the propagation of Sikhism and they have been leading in the work of Guru Ghars.

Bhai Mehta also thanked the devotee family on behalf of Shiromani Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami. During this time Jitinder Singh Uppal said that Guru Sahib took this service from him out of mercy. He prayed to Guru Sahib that he should continue to perform the services of Guru Ghar in the same way.

On this occasion Uppal also thanked the Shiromani Committee for the respect received by the Shiromani Committee.
On this occasion, the Shiromani Committee Jitinder Singh Uppal and his family members were honored by giving a golden model of Guru Bakshish Siropao, Loi and Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. On this occasion OSD S. Satbir Singh Dhami, Secretary of Shiromani Committee. Pratap Singh, Mr. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Deputy Secretary. Manjit Singh, Mr. Harbhajan Singh Wakta, s. Bibi Ravinder Kaur, daughter-in-law of Jitinder Singh Uppal, s. Rajpal Singh, S. Jatinderpal Singh, Superintendent S. Nishan Singh, in charge vehicles. Nirmal Singh, Associate Manager Gurtinderpal Singh etc. were present.
