Safety Awareness Program on Gas Cylinder Usage Held by HPCL and RCED

CHANDIGARH: A safety awareness session on gas cylinder usage was successfully organized by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) in collaboration with the Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED). The event, attended by 70 women participants, aimed to raise awareness about safe practices while handling gas cylinders.

Mr. Satvinder Singh, Senior Consultant at RCED, inaugurated the program, sharing valuable insights on safety and welcoming esteemed guests, including Mr. Prem Singh, Deputy General Manager, Chandigarh LPG Regional Office (HPCL), Ms. Afsana Kumari, Senior Marketing Officer, Chandigarh LPG Regional Office (HPCL), Mr. Manoj Kumar, Manager, Chandigarh LPG Sales Area (HPCL), and Mr. Arun Bansal from the Vigilance Department, HPCL.

The safety session was led by Mr. Manoj Kumar, who provided crucial information on safe practices while using gas cylinders. Mr. Prem Singh further emphasized the importance of regular safety checks to avoid accidents. Mr. Arun Bansal addressed concerns regarding corruption, informing participants of the vigilance department's role in addressing unresolved issues.

Ms. Afsana Kumari concluded the session by introducing the HP Sakhi scheme, designed to empower women by offering earning opportunities through HPCL’s initiatives.

At the end of the program, a token of appreciation was presented to the guests. The event was coordinated by Mr. Satvinder Singh, with support from RCED faculty members Mr. Jatinder Singh, Mr. Ranjeet Singh and Mrs. Manjeet Kaur, President of the City and Area Level Federation.
