AMRITSAR: The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College, Amritsar (KCA) commenced 4th Batch “Certificate Programme in Banking, Finance and Insurance (CPBFI)” in collaboration with Bajaj Finserv Ltd. This programme is a part and parcel of MoU signed between Khalsa College Amritsar and Bajaj Finserv Ltd. to impart practical training and essential skills to the students with a view to create employment opportunities for them in Banking, Finance and Insurance Sector. This programme is certified by National Skill Development Corporation, Government of India.
The programme was planned and executed under the supervision of Dr. A.K. Kahlon (Principal), and Dr. Ajay Sehgal from Khalsa University, Amritsar (Programme Coordinator). Dr. A.K. Kahlon during her address to participants highlighted the significance of practical knowledge along with theoretical aspects of finance for professional development of the students. She highlighted the benefits of the programme for our students like developing right attitude, domain knowledge and communication skills to enhance their employability.
Dr. Ajay Sehgal (Programme Coordinator) welcomed all the resource persons, faculty members and participants. He threw light upon the theme of the programme and introduced the training partner Kanwaljit Singh, lead trainer of Punjab cluster from Bajaj Finserv. Dr. Nidhi Sabharwal and Prof. Anindita Kaur Kahlon (Assistant Programme Coordinators) have been deputed for the smooth conduct of CPBFI Programme.
Dr. Nidhi Sabharwal expressed vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants. Prof. Meenu Chopra, Dr. Harpreet Kaur Mehrok and Dr. Navpreet Kulaar took over the charge of broadcasting of the event. Dr. Sawraj Kaur, Dr. Deepak Devgan, Dr. Poonam Sharma and other faculty members of Commerce department were present during the programme.
