World Physiotherapy Day celebrated at RBU

MOHALI: The University School of Physiotherapy and Radiology Department of Rayat Bahra University hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme to mark Physiotherapy Day.

The event was inaugurated by Chancellor Gurvinder Singh Bahra, alongside Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University. Dr MK Tewari, eminent Neurosurgeon, was the Guest of Honor.

The event was organized under the leadership of Chairperson Dr Lalit Gupta, Dean of the University School of Physiotherapy and Radiology (USPR), along with team of Gunpreet Kaur, Pankaj Singh and Ipshita Adhikary was a grand success.

The CME featured a series of engaging sessions and workshops designed to update healthcare professionals on the latest advancements in physiotherapy and radiological practices. Experts shared insights on innovative treatments, patient care, and rehabilitation techniques, emphasizing the critical role physiotherapy played in promoting health and wellness.

The celebration of Physiotherapy Day brought together students, faculty, and healthcare professionals, fostering collaboration and a spirit of learning. It also highlighted the importance of physiotherapy in enhancing the quality of life for patients worldwide.

Rayat Bahra University was honored to host an exceptional panel of experts on Physiotherapy Day, featuring distinguished professionals in the field. Dr Satish Sharma (PT), a highly respected name in physiotherapy with extensive clinical and academic experience, shared his invaluable insights.

Sandeep Negi, renowned for his innovative techniques and patient care, provided a unique perspective from his role at PGIMER, Chandigarh. Dr Kavita (PT), Chandigarh University, captivated the audience with her research-driven approach and dedication to advancing physiotherapy practices.

Dr. Haritri Bisht (PT), from Chandigarh University, a specialist in therapeutic interventions, discussed advanced rehabilitation methods. Ipshita Adhikary highlighted her holistic and patient-centered approach.

The guest speakers provided a comprehensive overview of various aspects of physiotherapy, including advancements in treatment methodologies, the importance of patient-centered care, and the role of physiotherapy in promoting overall health and wellness.
