LUDHIANA: Dr. Gurjot Kaur Mavi, of Directorate of Livestock Farms, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal sciences University, Scientist has been honored with Indian Poultry Science Association (IPSA)-Young Scientist award for the best research paper presentation on “Identification of Fertility Associated Sperm Proteins in Kadaknath Breed” authored by “Gurjot Kaur Mavi, PP Dubey, Ranjna S Cheema and Raman Narang” in acknowledgment of her exceptional achievement and significant impact in the field of Poultry Science. Her work is the first one to report for the Indigenous Kadaknath breed in the world.
The honour was conferred to her by the Dr. Niteen Patil, Vice chancellor, Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Science University (MAFSU), Nagpur during the XXXIX Indian Poultry Science Association Conference (IPSACON-2024) and National Symposium on “Shaping the Indian Poultry Sector for Sustainable Growth”. It was organized in collaboration with Indian Poultry Science Association, Bareilly.
The conference consisted of important discussions in the poultry sector related to the emerging issues and challenges faced by the Indian Poultry Sector with a proposal of scientific and technological solutions.
