Second Day of 28th Punjab Science Congress concludes at KCA

AMRITSAR: The second day of 28th Punjab Science Congress (PSC-2025) and National Conference on “Current Trends in Science and Technology” at Khalsa College Amritsar (KCA) ended with great enthusiasm. There were expert talks, oral and poster presentations of different thrust areas of science.

Dr. Arvinder Kaur Kahlon, Principal of Khalsa College Amritsar stated that distinguished experts from different scientific fields were invited to give presentations in several specialized sessions. Professor B.S. Sooch from Punjabi University, Patiala, Dr. Divya Kaushik from PSCST, Chandigarh, and Dr. Harkanwal Kaur from Khalsa College of Law, Amritsar have provided valuable insights to the audience through their expert discussions on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) and the process of patent filing. Prof. Tejwant Singh Kang (Chemistry) and Prof. Atul Khanna (Physics) from GNDU, Amritsar, along with Prof. Boota Singh from PAU, Ludhiana, Dr. Gagandeep Singh Rahi (Mathematics) from PU Chandigarh, Dr. Harish Verma, Principal of KCVAS, Amritsar, and Dr. Amandeep Singh from KCP, Amritsar served as the key resource persons for the day.

Dr. Taminder Singh, Coordinator of PSC-2025, stated that there were approximately 450 registrations for oral and poster presentations. He went on to clarify that different faculty members from all science departments of Khalsa College Amritsar were involved to carry out oral and poster presentations. All these presentations were successfully held, and the best presentations received the "Young Scientist" award and other prizes in respective thrust areas. Dr. Rajbir Singh Sohi, the organizing secretary (PSC-2025) informed that six parallel sessions were held simultaneously. He also said that many science students took advantage of the opportunity.
