MOHALI: Dr Parvinder Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, has been made Honorary Chairperson, of Indian Private Universities (CIPU) Northern Region for 2024-25.
Rahul V Karad, Managing Trustee and Executive President, MAEER's MIT Group of Institutions, Pune and Executive President, MIT World Peace University, in a communication to Dr Singh said “recognizing your exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to academic excellence and distinguished contributions to higher education, we are honored to invite you to assume the esteemed position of Honorary Chairperson, CIPU Northern Region for 2024-25.
“You will also be a distinguished member of the National Advisory Council representing the region. The region includes Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Haryana, J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, ” said the communication.
The Confederation of Indian Private Universities (CIPU) is a collective endeavour dedicated to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence among the private universities across the nation. Through strategic initiatives and shared endeavours, the CIPU aims to raise the standards of higher education, contribute to research and development, and collectively address the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for the private higher education institutions in India.
“As the Honorary Chairperson of the Northern Region, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of CIPU, representing the collective voice of private universities in India on national and international platforms.”
Meanwhile, Dr Gopal Pathak, Vice-Chancellor, Sarala Birla University, Ranchi has accepted to be the Honorary President for 2024-2025.
