LUDHIANA: 13th Youth festival of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary & Animal Sciences University progressed to 4th day with competitions held in literary events. Students expressed their feelings and expressions through their participation in events of Creative writing, Extempore and Debate.
Dr. Parminder Sngh, Additional Director of Extension Education was guest of honor in the morning session. Dr. Nirmal Jaura, Director Students’ Welfare was chief guest of the afternoon session whereas Dr. Jagwinder Jodha, Editor Punjabi, PAU was the guest of honor. Dr. Jaura and Dr. Jodha encouraged and discussed different vital points to become a good orator.
Dr. Parkash Singh Brar, Director Students’ Welfare congratulated the winning students and motivated the participants in their future endeavors. He said that the Youth Festival will enter in the more colourful and Musical phase as main stage items will be on floor in the second phase from December 03 to 05.
Dr. A.P.S. Brar organizing secretary of the festival said that in the morning session Creative Writing and Extempore competitions were held. In the afternoon session there was a Debate competition. College of Veterinary Science, College of Dairy Science and Technology, College of Fisheries, College of Animal Biotechnology, College of Veterinary Science, Rampura Phul (Bathinda), Veterinary Polytechnic, Kaljharani participated along with affiliated college, Khalsa College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Amritsar. Students expressed their thoughts on current and important issues.
