MOHALI: The University School of Allied Health Sciences Rayat Bahra University organised a blood donation camp to commemorate the 94th Martyrdom Day of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru.
The camp was held in collaboration with Shree Shiv Kanwar Mahasangh Charitable Trust, Panchkula. A team from Blood Centre Govt Multi Speciality Hospital, Sector 16, Chandigarh, collected blood.
Dr Pankaj Kaul, Dean, USAHS, said a number of students and faculty came forward to donate blood at the camp. Taranjeet Singh, Assistant Professor in Clinical Biochemistry, was the first to donate blood. Over 70 units of blood were collected.
With this RBU has qualified to get an international award from NIFAA and certification from World Record of Excellence, London.
Dr Chander Prakash, Pro-VC, RBU, Mohali, Dr Sahil Verma (ED), and Prof SK Bansal, Dean, Academic Affairs, RBU, inaugurated the blood donation camp. The Pro Vice-Chancellor applauded the donors and the organisers for this event of social cause.
