MOHALI: The Animation and Design School of Rayat Bahra University (RBU) organised a grand four-day design exhibition on its Mohali campus, where students showcased cutting-edge design innovations made possible through this progressive and futuristic curriculum.
The event witnessed a remarkable footfall, with hundreds of visitors marveling at the fusion of traditional design concepts and advanced AI-powered innovations in Design, Motion Graphics, and Filmmaking.
The event was inaugurated by Chairman of Rayat Bahra Group Gurvinder Singh Bahra, along with Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh.
The highlight of the exhibition was AI-Characterization, where students created unique character designs inspired by prominent personalities of the University, carefully studying their popular image on the campus. The most current developments in AI-Art have been tapped to create such designs not possible even a few months back.
Students also presented real-life design campaigns for brands and industries, which received high praise for their creativity and applicability.
Complementing these campaigns were stunning motion graphics and thought-provoking short films displayed on screen, which demonstrated students' command over AI-enabled filmmaking techniques and an in-depth understanding of the production process.
“Empowering designers, animators, and artists with the latest advancements in AI is no longer optional—it is essential. Animation and Design School at RBU is committed to pioneering research and experimentation in this field, working closely with industry leaders, ” said Parminder Singh Roobal, a nationally renowned animation and design educator who leads the school.
The exceptional quality of the students' work inspired many visiting industry professionals to offer paid projects to the budding designers, providing them with an invaluable professional exposure.
Impressed with the quality of work, many of the visiting members offered paid projects to the students.
