DBU to host 27th Punjab Science Congress

MANDI GOBINDGARH: Desh Bhagat University is going to organise 27th Punjab Science Congress (National Conference) from February 7 to 9 next under the aegis of Punjab Academy of Sciences, Patiala.

The main objectives of the Academy are to serve the cause of science in Punjab, with respect to its basic and applied aspects and to encourage original research in general and with reference to Punjab in particular.

Dr Zora Singh, Chancellor, Desh Bhagat University, said that in association with Punjab Science Congress Desh Bhagat University is organising this national conference in dual mode, both online and offline for maximum participation. The University is looking forward to this academic event which will provide students, scholars and teachers a platform for research oriented quality discussion.

Dr HK Sidhu, organizing secretary, said that the conference has been divided into 6 sections to cater to all the disciplines of knowledge and research. To encourage good research, the best poster in each section will be awarded a medal, certificate and cash prize of Rs 2100 by the Punjab Academy of Sciences.

The highlight of the event will be a special offline session for the presentation of papers of the scholars below the age of 35 years who will be contesting for the Young Scientist Award. This special session will be held on February 8.

The interested participants can send the abstracts before December 31, 2023 at 27psc2024@deshbhagatuniversity.in. Those willing to contest for the young scientist award should submit their abstract at pasciences@gmail.com
