MOHALI: Anti-Ragging Orientation, White Coat, and Oath Ceremony was conducted with a commitment to fostering a respectful, safe, and professional environment for the students of Rayat Bahra Dental College and Hospital (RBDCH). The event began with an Anti-Ragging Orientation as per the norms of the Dental Council of India (DCI).

Chief Guest Dr Jagat Bhushan, a prominent figure from the DCI, addressed the gathering and delivered an insightful lecture on the importance of anti-ragging policies and fostering a culture of mutual respect and camaraderie.
Dr Bhushan emphasised the critical role of students and faculty in creating a ragging-free campus and highlighted the legal and moral consequences of ragging. His engaging and thought-provoking address was well-received by the students.

To spread awareness about anti-ragging, the first-year students displayed their creativity through rangoli designs and posters. Their artwork beautifully conveyed the message of unity and respect while emphasising the significance of an inclusive and safe campus environment.

In addition, a skit performance by first-year students highlighted the harmful effects of ragging and the importance of fostering inclusivity.

The skit was both entertaining and impactful, driving home the message of a ragging-free environment.
Following the orientation, the White Coat Ceremony, a symbolic event marking the transition of students into the professional world of dentistry, was conducted. The students took the professional oath, pledging to uphold ethical standards and responsibilities of the dental profession. The ceremony was a moment of pride and commitment for both the students and their families.

Earlier, on his arrival Dr Jagat Bhushan was welcomed by Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of Rayat Bahra University, and Vice-Chancellor Dr Parvinder Singh.

The success of the event was made possible by the invaluable appreciation of the Principal Dr Akshey Sharma, Dr Neena Mehta Dean Academics, and Dr Mandeep Kumar, Vice-Principal.
