KAITHAL: On Dussehra day , a tragedy struck a family as it's 7 member lost their lives , and a girl is missing and another person is struggling for his life in the hospital.
According to the information, early on Saturday morning, family members of Ramdasia community from village Deeg of Pundri constituency were going in their Alto car to worship at Ravidas temple in village Guhna of Kaithal constituency. There were 9 passengers in the car, including 4 children. On the way, their Alto car while taking a curve slipped in Mundri canal on Pundri-Kaithal road at around 9.30 am. Some passer by noticed the mishap and raised an alarm following which people rushed to the spot and swing in to rescue operations. All those rescued were rushed to the hospital however doctors declared 7 dead on reaching the hospital. A girl has not been found yet, and search was on in canal for her .
According to information as soon as someone saw the Alto car falling into the canal, they raised an alarm. Immediately scores of people from Mundri village also reached the spot. Many people even jumped into the canal to save the people in the car, but even their efforts could not save their lives. The person named Kala, who was driving the car, was somehow taken out and is undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital. As soon as information about the accident was received in the village, there was chaos in the village, the entire village ran towards Mundri Canal and Kaithal Hospital. It was being told that all the victims were members of the family of Kala car Driver and the other brother Praveen who had gone abroad. The names of daughter-in-law Sukhvindra Kaun, Darshana, mother-in-law Chameli, children Fiza, Vandana and Riya are said to be among the dead. Komal is reported missing and is being searched in the canal.
Pundri police team also reached Mundri canal. D.S.P. Kaithal Lalit Yadav also reached the Civil Hospital and possible efforts were being made.
