KAITHAL: The District Town Planning Officials in coordination with the district administration, took action to demolish two illegal colonies in Revenue Estate Titram today. During this, DTP Raj Kirti was posted as a duty magistrate. She said that the staff of the DTP office along with the police force reached the spot along with the JCB machine to remove the illegal colony and the road network, 10 DPCs on the spot were destroyed in the initial phase itself.
District Town planner Raj Kirti said that there was a case of carving of two illegal colonies in Revenue Estate Titram in the cognizance of the office. After this, land owners and property dealers were ordered by the department to obtain necessary permission to develop colony .construction by issuing notice under sections of HDR Act 1975, but neither the illegal construction on the spot by the landlords was stopped. Nor application for any permission from the department to carv out colony was taken.
According to the provisions of Act 1975, the action was taken with the help of the district administration. She said that the common people should not get misled by the property dealers due to offer of cheap rates and get complete information about the validity of the colony from this office before purchasing the plot in such colonies.
