World Youth Skills Day celebrates by RCED

CHANDIGARH: July 15 is celebrating as World Youth Skill Day and on this
occasion, the RCED organized Online session in which a number of students of
the Centre from Punjab and Chandigarh participated in the session.
The session was initiated by Mr Paramjit Singh, Director, Regional Centre
for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) to address its students and awared
them about the importance of the day and need of skills to excel in life.
While speaking in the session Mr Singh has stressed the knowledge
about the need of continuous efforts to horn up skills and soft skills. He also
shed light on the ongoing and upcoming challenges regarding future and
achieving success.
Aims at generating awareness on the importance of technical,
vocational education and training to develop other skills relevant both in local
and flobal economies as it would contribute to reduce the unemployment and
under-employment among the youth across the globe.
  During the session, students showcased their skills for others.  Students
shared the photographs for their Art pieces like Dancing, Acting, Art and Craft,
cooking, stitching, sketching, Photography, DIY home decors, and calligraphy.
Students really enjoyed and participated very enthusiastically in showcasing
their skills.
The session ended with the impacting words that “Gathering information
doesn’t ensures success, but your skills for implementing the same empowers
you as an individual and safeguards your future”.
