He said that the power of the pen can be estimated only by the writer or the reader. The tip of the pen is sharper than the weapon. Describing Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji as a great writer, the Vidhan Sabha Speaker said that he influenced the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb not with weapons but with the pen. Guru Sahib's Zafarnama written by his own pen became a universal document. Encouraging writer Hardeep Kaur, he said that the inclination towards reading and writing books is decreasing among the young generation.
