PHAGWARA: National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal said that today he is deeply disturbed and angered by the viral audio circulating on social media, allegedly featuring a senior Punjab cadre IPS officer posted in Ludhiana, shamelessly negotiating with prostitutes. If proven true, this is not just a personal moral failure — it is a criminal act and a betrayal of public trust.
Grewal said that such officers are a disgrace to the uniform and have no right to continue in service. They are black sheep who bring shame to the entire police force and damage the fabric of our society. This is not a case for internal inquiry or silent transfers — this demands swift dismissal, arrest, and prosecution under the law.
Grewal demand that the Punjab Government stop shielding such corrupt and immoral officers and take immediate action. I also appeal to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji, Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji, and the Ministry of Home Affairs to take direct notice of this matter. The Government of India must ensure strict legal and departmental action is initiated without delay.
He said that the people of Punjab will no longer tolerate predators in uniform. We will not allow our police force to be turned into a den of corruption and moral rot.
Grewal said that he is openly stand with the people of Ludhiana, and promise to keep raising this issue until justice is served.
