LUDHIANA: The College of Veterinary Science of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, Ludhiana conducted Oath-Taking Ceremony of 93 passing out veterinary graduates of batch 2019. Dr. Prahlad Singh welcomed the Chief Guest, Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill, Vice-Chancellor and guest of honour, Dr. Amit Nain, Executive member, Veterinary Council of India.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr. J. Mohindroo, Director of Clinics, shared the achievements of students who brought laurels to the University in the field of academics, sports and extra-curricular activities. Dr. S. S. Randhawa Dean, College of Veterinary Science administered the Veterinarian’s Oath to the passing out graduates and asked them to ensure veterinary practice in line with the principles of veterinary ethics. The passing out graduates expressed their gratitude towards the untiring efforts of diligent teachers to fulfill their goal. They shared fruitful experiences of their stay in the university. Dr. Amit Nain congratulated the outgoing veterinary graduates and emphasized the vital role of veterinarians in safeguarding animal health, public health and urged them to uphold the highest ethical standards in their practice. A video clip depicting the journey of students during their degree period was also presented in the ceremony which was highly appreciated by all.
Dr. Jatinder Paul Singh Gill congratulated the outgoing veterinary graduates and wished them all the success in their future endeavors. He also encouraged students to take part in extra-curricular activities to keep themselves happy and healthy in life, besides their duty towards profession. Dr. Gurpreet Singh Preet proposed the vote of thanks. The function was attended by the officers of the university, Heads of the Departments and faculty members. The ceremony was sponsored by Carus Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. First three rank holders in the clinical subjects were awarded with a prize money of Rs. 51000/-, 35000/- and 25000/- by Carus Laboratories Pvt. Ltd.
