The train journey of the Panj Takht Sahibs left Sri Amritsar amid cheers

AMRITSAR: The special train journey which was conducted in the form of Nagar Kirtan in the past for darshan of five Takhts, today left from Sri Akal Takht Sahib with Khalsai Jaho-Jalal back to Takht Sri Hazur Sahib.

Before departure from Sri Akal Takht Sahib in the form of Nagar Kirtan, Head Granthi of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh, SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib Giani Sultan Singh and Buddha Dal chief Baba BalbirSingh 96th Crori presented Siropao to Panj Pyare Sahibs, Nishanchi Singhs and prominent personalities.

On this occasion, Jathedar of Sri Akal Takht Sahib Giani Raghbir Singh and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami congratulated the pilgrims who came for the pilgrimage to the five Takhts.

He said that within the Sikh panth, the five takhts have their own greatness and every Sikh longs to see the thrones.
He said that these devotees have seen the five thrones in the form of nagar kirtan by special train, which is a blessing.
On the occasion of the departure of Nagar Kirtan, the police party saluted Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji and Nihang organizations participated in Khalsai Jaho-Jalal along with elephants and horses.

On the occasion, Baba Gurmeet Singh from Takht Sri Hazur Sahib, Giani Malkit Singh, Head Granthi of Sri Akal Takht Sahib, General Secretary of Shiromani Committee Bhai Rajinder Singh Mehta, Member Gurlal Singh, OSD of Shiromani Committee President. Satbir Singh Dhami, Secretary. Pratap Singh, Mr. Balwinder Singh Kahlwan, manager of Sri Darbar Sahib. Bhagwant Singh Dhangera, Manager S. Narinder Singh, Additional Manager Jaspal Singh Dhade, s. Bikramjit Singh Jhangi, s. Yuvraj Singh, Information Officer Amritpal Singh, Associate Manager Gurtinderpal Singh, Mr. Tarsem Singh Moranwali, s. Ravinder Singh Kapur, Mr. Ravinder Singh Bungai along with representatives of various sabha societies and members attended.
