AMRITSAR: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, president of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee*SGPC) has strongly condemned the gangrape and murder of a minor girl in Hyderabad, Telangana.
In a press statement, Advocate Dhami said that this unfortunate incident which took place in Hyderabad, Telangana has brought down the head of humanity with shame.
He said that Sikh girls have been targeted for some time now but the governments have failed to provide exemplary punishment to the culprits.
He said that what could be more shameful than the fact that a helpless and lonely girl was collectively tortured. The SGPC president demanded from the government that the culprits should not be pardoned under any circumstances and that each one should be identified and given strict punishment by setting an example.
If the culprits are not punished, the morale of those who are deadly to society will increase.
