SGPC President reviewed arrangements of Sri Darbar Sahib and instructed officers to perform their duties diligently.

AMRITSAR: A long time, the entire parkarma path around the holy water tank (‘sarovar’) of the Golden Temple was full of devotees. outside the ‘Darshani Deori’ to ensure devotees queued up with the mandated distance between each other.

SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur has instructed managers and caretakers to perform their duties diligently.
Jagir Kaur told the meeting that the influx of sangat was increasing after the effects of the Corona epidemic subsided and arrangements for the sangat should not be slackened.

SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur reviewed the arrangements with the managers and caretakers of Sri Darbar Sahib here today and instructed the officers to perform their duties diligently. Bibi Jagir Kaur said that Sri Harmandir Sahib is the spiritual center of all humanity and devotees from all over the world come here to pay their respects.

Every devotee should make a good impression from here, so the manager and other responsible officers should fulfill their responsibility to keep the arrangements in order, she added.

She said that duty in Gurdwaras was more responsible than other institutions for which the conduct of the management of Gurdwaras should be right.

She said that every responsible officer would not be held accountable for his duty and administrative negligence would not be tolerated.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami said that as a responsible officer it was the duty of all to remain committed for the betterment of the organization.

Additional Secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, Manager Gurinder Singh Mathrewal and other officials also expressed their views.
