SGPC issued walkie-talkies to the sevadars at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib

AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee ( SGPC) has issued walkie-talkies to the secadars at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. issued orders not to use mobile phones.

Sevadars on duty at the Darbar Sahib will no longer be able to use mobile phones while on duty. Sevadara have been ordered to be aware of mischievous elements and perform their duties.

Speaking to media persons, Manager Sulukhan Singh Bhangali said that every effort is being made to ensure that the pilgrims from all over the country do not face any difficulty in circumambulation of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib. Due to the lack of knowledge of the local language, the sangats face many difficulties in visiting the maryada. For this purpose information boards have also been set up in different languages.

It may be mentioned that after the recent incidents of indecency, the newly appointed manager Sulukhan Singh Bhangali has imposed duties on the sevadars to reduce the inconvenience caused to the sangat.

He has made every effort to ensure smooth functioning of the system. For the convenience of the sangat, walkie-talkies will now be given to the sevadars on duty in Parikarma so that they can be careful while performing their duties without using their mobile phones and keep in touch with the office Parikarma in every possible way.
