AMRITSAR: The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has started the renovation work of Joda Ghar and Gathri Ghar (luggage house) through kaar seva which was handed over to Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwale here on Friday.
Giani Harpreet Singh, Jathedar of Akal Takht, Bibi Jagir Kaur, President of SGPC, Giani Jagtar Singh, Additional Head Granthi of Sri Harmandir Sahib, Surjit Singh Bhitewad, General Secretary Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, Baba Kashmir Singh Karseva Bhuriwalia and other prominent personalities were present.
On this occasion the President of the SGPC Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the Sikh organization has always been ready for the convenience of the Sangat and under this a new Joda Ghar is being constructed.
Bibi Jagir Kaur said that this Joda Ghar would have the capacity to accommodate more than five thousand at a time.
She hoped that the Kar Seva Bhuriwalas would dedicate the Joda Ghar to the Sangat within 5 months.
Meanwhile, Baba Kashmir Singh Bhuriwale thanked the SGPC and Singh Sahibs for handing over the service of the JODA Ghar.
He appealed to the sangat to extend more cooperation during the service so that it could be opened for the service of the sangat as soon as possible.
On this occasion, representatives of Kar seva and prominent personalities were honoured by the SGPC with Guru Blessings.
