AMRITSAR: The issue of conversion and marriage of two Sikh girls from Kashmir has been largely resolved through the efforts of Sikh leaders. Manmeet Kaur, an 18-year-old Sikh girl from Srinagar, was handed over to her family by the court following the persistent efforts of the Sikh community and thoughtful Sikh leaders. With Sukhbir Singh, it was done at Rainawari Gurdwara Sahib as per complete gurmaryada.

She said that hoped that the second girl Dhanwant Kaur would also be brought back soon.
She demanded the government to set up a Minority Commission for Minorities in Jammu and Kashmir to prevent such incidents in future.
