AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee has decided to install scanner machines at the main entrances of Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib.
This decision was taken at a Interim Committee meeting which was held under the presidentship of Mr Harjinder Singh Dhami here today.
Apart from this many other important decisions have also been approved by the Interim Committee.
While talking to media persons Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, said that at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib millions of devotees from all over the country and abroad have to pay obeisance and scanner machines would be installed at every door to make the arrangements more efficient.
He said that at present there was a huge influx of Sangat at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, for which there was a great need for new Saravas. In this regard, the Interim Committee has decided to set up a special committee at Amritsar outside the limits of the Municipal Corporation. Decided to buy land on the road.
A sub-committee has been set up for this purpose, which will look into the land and submit its report.
He also said that outside Amritsar, GT Large taverns will be arranged at this place to be purchased on the road, from where special vehicles will be arranged to bring the sangat to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib for darshan.
Apart from the arrangement of huge parking lot, there are also plans to relocate some of the offices of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee.
Advocate Dhami said that in future a sub-committee would be constituted to further improve the performance of the sports academies of the SGPC.
He said that at present the academies of Kabaddi and Hockey were being run by the SGPC which would be further expanded.
He also informed that an active Dharam Prachar campaign would be launched across the country including Punjab from the month of May. In connection with this 13 Sikh Missions established in India and Pracharaks in every constituency of Punjab will conduct big Amrit Sanchar and Kirtan ceremonies. He said that the Interim Committee has also given approval for setting up of solar system at Gurdwara Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib, Patiala, which would be served by Gurshabad Prachar Sabha. Meanwhile Advocate Dhami appealed to the Government of India to facilitate the process of visiting Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib so that more and more devotees can visit the holy shrine of Guru Nanak.

Azaddeep Singh, Gurnam Singh, Lakhbir Singh etc. were present.
