SGPC asked Amritsar Municipal Commissioner Sandeep Rishi to remove illegal encroachments from the roads leading to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib,

AMRITSAR: Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami has asked Amritsar Municipal Commissioner Sandeep Rishi to remove illegal occupants from the roads leading to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, regularize auto rickshaws near the holy shrine and repair the roads as required.

Mr. Sandeep Rishi met Advocate Dhami while paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib today, where the President of the SGPC apprised the Chief Officer of the Municipal Corporation about the plight of the Sangat.

The SGPC President said that a large number of devotees from all over the country and abroad come to Amritsar to pay homage to Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib.

The sangat is not making a good impression due to the proliferation of illegal occupants and congestion of auto rickshaws on these roads. Therefore, these problems should be solved so that the sangat can worship at the Guru's house in peace without any trouble.

Meanwhile, Sandeep Rishi assured the SGPC President that he would soon work for the solution of these problems.

He said that this would also be discussed in the meeting of the Municipal Corporation and the sangat and shopkeepers were urged to keep the goods inside their respective shops to keep the roads running smoothly so that the sangat would not face any problem. To come .
On this occasion the President of the Shiromani Committee Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami honored Mr. Sandeep Rishi with Siropao and a picture of Golden Temple.
