CHANDIGARH: The Regional Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (RCED) successfully conducted the People Education Programme on behalf of the Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC), Government of India, in collaboration with the District Industries Centre (DIC), Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB), and PNB Lead Bank at Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh.
The two-day program aimed to create awareness about entrepreneurship opportunities under government schemes. On the first day, faculty members Ms. Pragati Katoch and Ms. Simranjot Kaur coordinated the event along with Mrs. Surinder Kaur, HOD Commerce, and Dr. Baljit Singh, Convener, Entrepreneurship Development Cell, Dr. Mukesh Chauhan, (IIIC). Various competitions, including an Essay Writing Competition and a Quiz Competition, were organized to engage students in entrepreneurial thinking.
On the second day, Ms. Pragati Katoch welcomed the distinguished speakers and guests, including Mr. Joginder Kumar Bhutani, Ex-AGM, SBI, and Mr. Satvinder Singh, Senior Consultant, RCED, along with Professor Dr. J.K. Sehgal (Principal), Professor Dr. Sneh Harshinder Sharma (Vice Principal), and officers from KVIC, DIC, and UT KVIB, namely Mr.
Neeraj, Mr. Devinder, and Mr. Abhishek.
The event commenced with Mr. Joginder Kumar Bhutani, who provided valuable insights into government schemes and their benefits. This was followed by Mr. Satvinder Singh, who elaborated on the Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) and various ways to avail its benefits.
The program concluded with remarks from the Principal, Dr. J.K. Sehgal, followed by the prize distribution ceremony, where winners of the competitions were felicitated.

success, promoting entrepreneurial awareness among students and empowering them with
