PATIALA: The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) leadership, including Incharge Shri Devender Yadav, President Amarinder Singh Raja Warring and district level leadership convened parliament-level meetings for Patiala and Sangrur MP seats at Community Hall Model Town, Patiala and Jeji resorts, Sangur respectively to engage with the office-bearers of the party including district presidents, block presidents, mandal heads, frontal heads and dist committee members.

This significant gathering facilitated a comprehensive discussion on pertinent issues, allowing the senior Congress leaders to address concerns, solicit input, and gather suggestions from the party's grassroots for the forthcoming elections. Navjot Sidhu and sitting Congress MP wife of former CM Captain Amarinder Singh did't turn up to attend the PPCC programme.

PPCC Chief Amarinder Singh Raja Warring emphasized the pivotal role of Congress workers, asserting, “The Congress party in Punjab stands at its current stature due to the unwavering dedication of our workers. They are the indispensable driving force, propelling our party forward with precision and momentum. We rightfully acknowledge the workers as the engine of the Congress.”

Continuing the dialogue, Raja Warring underscored the importance of unity, stating, “Our collective strength lies in unity. Focusing solely on individual interests hinders the prosperity of the party. It is imperative to prioritize the party's interests above all else. Together, we are stronger than when standing alone.”

Addressing the workers, PPCC Incharge Devendra Yadav highlighted their essential role in shaping the party's structure in Punjab. He emphasized, “The foundation of any political party must be robust to achieve our objectives. Congress workers, operating at the grassroots level, play a crucial role in ensuring our message resonates with the masses.”

Yadav further emphasized, “The workers are instrumental in disseminating our message, enlightening the public on the importance to diverge from the BJP's tyrannous governance. This role cannot be replicated by any senior leader in the Congress party.”

Responding to a media query regarding MP Preneet Kaur, PPCC President Raja Warring clarified – “She is currently not a part of the political folds of the Congress as she is suspended from the party. What she says cannot be taken as a statement from the party. Any person causing a disruption to the path of the Congress, will face consequences from the high command. Those within the folds of the party will have to focus on the collective growth of the party rather than their own personal goals.”

Raja Warring concluded, “Our collective endeavor transcends individual efforts. No one stands above the party; the Congress Party thrives not due to specific individuals but rather, individuals derive their standing from the Congress Party. Therefore, unity is paramount for our collective strength.”
